Why is Toast Jesus Watching Me Eat Breakfast?

There are faces everywhere, if you look.

Science calls it pareidolia.

We call it an invasive anomaly.  Beings from elsewhere, observing us from places so mundane we don't even notice.  The sides of buildings, the cracked windowpane, a waterstain on the pavement....your toast.

Now it's your mission to find and document these anomalies...

because, of course, not everyone's intentions are good ones.

With your specialized Agency Device*, you'll hunt them down.

You'll be tasked with cataloguing them, and determining why they're here.  Finding the ones that aren't just looky-loos, vacationing in our world, but something else.  Something possibly more sinister.  Or someone who just wants to oogle your ankles, since in some worlds, that's fairly titillating, I guess.  It's still creepy.

Why is Toast Jesus Watching Me Eat Breakfast is a solo journaling game with a real-life component.  All you need to play is a notebook, two d6, and a camera.  (I've recommended a kiddie thermal camera for fun, but your phone is absolutely okay, too.)  You can spend several hours playing over a few days, or tighten your observation region and have an afternoon's one-shot with time left over for some snacks.

You'll be walking (or ambulating however you choose), so please wear proper clothing, don't trespass, and try not to get hurt and/or arrested.  Games tend to be less fun in jail.

Due to its format, you can replay this one as many times as you want, and the outcome will always be different.  There's also a suggestion for an extra-credit activity (also real-world) which is optional, but will probably put you in line for a fat promotion.
